Basic baked cheese cake


BASIC BAKED CHEESECAKE

Ingredients:

For the pie crust
250g Marie Biscuits or any other digestive biscuits, crushed or dry blended
125g of Planta, melted

* Combine both and press on to baking tray. If you are using a spring foam baking tray it`ll be easier to take out but if you are using a normal baking tray, pls line it with grease proof paper. Easier to invert it out of tray.
* Do not press crust mixture too hard or else you`ll find it difficult to cut the cake later on.
* Refrigerate the crust while we prepare the cheese filling.


For the cheese filling

2 packages (250gm each) philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 tspn vanilla essence
2 eggs
1 tblspn lemon juice(optional)

Method:
1. Beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixture on medium speed until well blended. Add vanilla essence.
2. Add eggs and mix just until blended. Do not overmix.
3. Pour into crust.
4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 deg celcius for 30mins-40mins or until centre of cake is almost set. Let cool for a while before refrigerate for 3 hrs or overnight. May be taken as it is or can be garnished as to your liking.
